Pete Alonso had a great day at Citi Field. The Mets defeated the Rockies. Alonso hit two home runs. He surpassed Darryl Strawberry's Mets record. Alonso now holds the record for multi-homer games. Juan Soto and Jeff McNeil also contributed to the win. Alonso expressed his respect for Strawberry. The Mets have a 42-24 record.
